A drive through pumpkin event at Hawrelak Park.

Specially suited for our younger children, it will be a great family outing. Bring some snacks, stay cozy in your vehicle, and listen to a sweet story as you slowly make your way along the road in Hawrelak Park. Stop at marked stations to get clues as you go, with a special gift from the Winter Gnome waiting at the end of your journey.

Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens

A spooky outing to the pumpkin patch and this charming month-long Halloween celebration remains an annual tradition for the past 27 years!  There’s a Pumpkin Cannon (really!), a ghost town with Ghost Walks to the Elm Street Cemetery, and if you are brave – don a mask to creep through the Haunted Farm House (kid friendly, no gore).  Pumpkin displays, an indoor heated greenhouse pumpkin patch for when the weather turns cold, and Kompany Family Theatre presents the Pumpkin Corny-val with ghost stories, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin races and pumpkin juggling as new activities this year!

Gates Open Weekends at 10:30am – Closed at 6pm with Special Activities (Puppet Shows, Pumpkin Cannon, Haunted Ghost Tours, 15-Acre U-Pick Pumpkin Patch, Big Cornmaze )

Boo at the Zoo

Come to the River Valley dressed up in your Halloween costume to celebrate with us and to learn about some of your favourite animals. And, oh yes – get some treats! While you’re watching the animals get their Halloween pumpkin enrichments, there will be nine treat stops for our human friends! Trick or treat as you explore the zoo. There will be six tents set up around the zoo and three additional treat stops at 40 Acres restaurant, the Zoo-tique, and Sandwich and Sons cafe.

Deadmonton Haunted House

Last year Deadmonton abducted you, and whisked you away to Area 51! Now, armed with the strange knowledge gathered from within that mysterious site, the diabolical minds behind Deadmonton Industries attempt to warp the fabric of time, space, and even reality. Join us on a twisted trip down the rabbit hole and into the warped minds of madness!!

Kiwi’s Haunted House

Are YOU brave enough to walk through our trails? Let’s hope you’re not scared of the dark…
Admission is $5.00 per person, children under 10 are free; or a food bank donation per person. Tickets will include a small commemorative flashlight.

Haunted Trolley Tours Over the High Level Bridge

Join us for a spooky and historical Trolley ride over the High Level Bridge and throughout Old Strathcona as the sun sets over Deadmonton.  Hear the horrible history of the area and some of Old Strathcona’s and Edmonton’s most spooky and gruesome ghost stories.
